Daymochk, the word for “my country” and the name of a Chechen children’s dance group, who escape from Grozny, where life is being experienced by each day and under terrible conditions and extreme fear.
Most children are traumatized by the war and younger children don't know what peace and freedom is,they dance like their life depends on it, on a European tour who brings them in Britain, France, Holland, Poland and more
Life depend on it ,as a matter of speak, but some is truth since the experience of a peaceful Europe and the cheerful public will give them energy and joy to hopefully survive a next winter in occupied Grozny.
An escape to the West is out of the question, all relatives in Grozny are registered by authorities and will face the consequences of this act, but most children just want to go back after the tour to be on the edge of life with their relatives in a destroyed home country.
